PAL solves conduction resistance problems

After taking 2.S976 and 2.51,  I worked with my professor to develop an "Artificial Heat Transfer Student" that could earn an A in an undergraduate heat transfer subject. The software under development accepts non-prescriptive problem statements and provides solutions as expected of students, making back-of-the-envelop assumptions and assessing their validity. It runs a 1D finite element solver to deliver high fidelity solutions without the complexity and computation time of simulation packages.

I coded interactive user interfaces and graphics

I made instructional videos to demo PAL and supplement classroom learning during COVID-19

I developed a Monte Carlo algorithm that finds the average perimeter of a body of arbitrary geometry in a direction of choice...

...to implement a generalized natural convection correlation

I designed the software with object oriented programming to handle many

different classes of heat transfer problems.
